WKU Professor Receives Honorary
Doctorate in Russia

Bowling Green, Ky. - A Western Kentucky University psychology professor has received an honorary doctorate from a Russian institute.

Dr. Joseph Cangemi received the honorary doctorate on Oct. 8 in Moscow. The honor was recommended by the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Psychology and was awarded by the Moscow State University of Humanities.

Dr. Cangemi, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., has been a faculty member at Western since 1968 and has received numerous awards for teaching, research and public service.
