WKU'S Carmichael Elected To
Bandmasters Association

Dr. Carmichael has also been asked to conduct the University of Kansas Symphonic Band at the ABA National Convention at Wichita State University in February 2002. He will be on a program that includes Frederick Fennell, founder of the Eastman Wind Ensemble and current conductor of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Ensemble; Col. John Bourgeois, former conductor of the United State Marine Corps Band known as the "President's Own;" and James Barnes, internationally known composer.
