WKU Seeking Participants For
Grant-Funded Study On Aging

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Center for Research on Aging at Western Kentucky University is seeking participants for a study funded by a $1 million grant from the National Institute on Aging.

Over the next five years, the WKU center will study how aging affects cognitive abilities such as memory and judgment. The study, under the direction of psychology professor Sharon Mutter, will help determine which cognitive abilities show little change with age and which abilities decline.

The study will require 600 to 750 participants over the five years. Participants must be healthy adults, age 60 and over. Individuals who participate will be paid.

All studies will take place at Tate Page Hall on Western's campus and will require two or more sessions of two hours each. A reserved parking space will be available at the building for participants. Transportation can be provided if necessary.

For more information or to volunteer for the study, call (270) 745-5288 or (270) 745-6315.
