WKU'S Woosley Earns Certified Risk Manager
Designation
Bowling Green, Ky. - Barry D. Woosley, risk manager at Western
Kentucky University, has earned the designation of Certified
Risk Manager from Certified Risk Managers International.
Certified Risk Managers International is a nonprofit organization
founded by The National Alliance for Insurance Education &
Research, a nationally recognized source of insurance and risk
management education. To attain the CRM designation, Woosley
was required to complete all five courses in the program, and
pass extensive examinations in the subject areas of Risk Management
Essentials, Risk Analysis, Risk Control, Risk Financing, and
Risk Administration.
The CRM Program features practical, "hands-on" course
content designed to be applied immediately to the risk manager's
daily work.
Due to the advanced level of the curricula, the CRM designation
has gained national esteem and recognition since its origination
in 1996. "The CRM designation is visible recognition of
the commitment by Woosley to continuing excellence and professionalism
in the field or risk management," said Wayne Dauterive,
ARM, vice president of CRM International.
Woosley is also a Certified Public Accountant and has been employed
at Western for 14 years. Prior to joining Western, he was a
partner with Taylor, Polson, and Woosley in Glasgow.
