Six WKU Students Inducted
Into Physics Honor Society
Bowling Green, Ky. - Six students have been inducted into
the Western Kentucky University chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma, the
national physics honor society.
Sigma Pi Sigma recognizes outstanding achievement among physics
students. Students inducted at the Department of Physics and
Astronomy's annual banquet were:
*Angela Nicole Adams, an Elizabethtown junior whose parents are
Doug and Denise Adams.
*Gavi Elan Begtrup, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., whose parents
are Robert and Barbara Begtrup.
*Srdan Hrkalovic, a Bowling Green junior whose parents are Jovo
and Branka Hrkalovic.
*Shannon Dewayne Wooden, a Sonora senior whose father is Stan
Wooden.
*Jeffrey Scott Little, a Pikeville junior whose parents are Jeff
and Linda Little.
*Dustin Gregory Bambic, a December graduate from Benton whose
mother is Joyce Smith.
Western's chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma was formed on May 25, 1960.
The minimum requirements for membership are the completion of
all core curriculum physics courses, a grade-point average of
at least 3.30 in all physics courses and an overall GPA of at
least 3.00. Total membership in WKU's chapter of Sigma Pi Sigma
is 248.
