Gordon Ford College Of Business Presents
Student Awards
Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University's Gordon
Ford College of Business presented awards at its fifth annual
student recognition dinner April 6 at the Knicely Institute for
Economic Development at Western's South Campus.
Callan F. Yeoman, a Bowling Green senior, received the Ramsey
Best Paper Award in Economics, named for Dr. James Ramsey, budget
director for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and a former vice president
at WKU.
Yeoman also received the Delta Sigma Pi Golden Key Award (based
on 4.0 grade-point average), outstanding senior award in economics
and outstanding senior award in finance.
John Kevin Hughes, a Paris senior, received the Delta Sigma Pi
Golden Key Award, outstanding senior award in economics, outstanding
senior award in finance and outstanding Ford College graduating
senior award.
James Andy Wright, a December graduate from Bowling Green, received
the Wall Street Journal Award in economics.
Jason Riley, a Burkesville senior, received the Wall Street Journal
Award in finance.
Selina Jo Skaggs, a senior accounting and Spanish major from
Bardstown, received the National City Bank Student Leadership
Award.
Delta Sigma Pi Golden Key Awards (based on 4.0 GPA) also were
presented to
Laura Cohron, a post baccalaureate accounting major from Bowling
Green, and Darin Helm, a December graduate from Bowling Green.
Leslie Davis, a senior marketing and Spanish major from Bowling
Green, received the Dean's Student Achievement Award. She is
scheduled to study this summer at Oxford University in England.
Other outstanding senior awards were presented to the following:
Loretta Cottrell of Bonnieville, accounting; Ashley Garmon of
Marrowbone, economics; Andria Humpert of Fort Mitchell, computer
information systems and marketing; and Matthew J. Larson of Bowling
Green, management.
Outstanding junior awards were presented to the following:
Kristina Zoglmann of Elizabethtown, accounting; Mark von Dohlen
of Kingston Springs, Tenn., economics; Jill Goh of Versailles,
finance; Rena Scenna of Bowling Green, finance; Teresa Diana
Livers of Webster, computer information systems; Kristin Knott
of Owensboro, management; and Kyle Wuchterl of Crestwood, marketing.
Michael R. Young of Bowling Green was recognized as the outstanding
master's in business administration student.
Eric Milliner of Louisville was recognized as the outstanding
master's student in economics.
