WKU Broadcasting Students Win Awards In AP
Contest
Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University broadcasting
students won eight first-place awards in the state Associated
Press competition.
Individual results in the AP radio contest are:
Aimee Reed, a Columbia senior, first in newscast, second in news
report and two honorable mention awards in feature/human interest
story.
Julie Goodwin, a Louisville senior, first in news report, first
in best reporter, second in feature/human interest story, honorable
mention in feature/human interest story and honorable mention
in news report.
Nunu Japaridze, a senior from Tbilisi, Georgia, first in feature/human
interest story.
Individual results in the AP television contest are:
Noelle Bye, a junior from Evansville, Ind., first in feature/human
interest story.
Heath Myrick, a senior from Carthage, N.C., first in news report,
tied for first in best reporter and honorable mention in news
report.
Greg Meriwether, a Louisville junior, tied for first in best
reporter, second in feature/human interest story and second in
news report.
Cory Ramsey, a Fulton sophomore, second in sports reporting.
