Change In Scoring Moves WKU To 26th In Bridge
Contest
Bowling Green, Ky. - A change in scoring has moved Western
Kentucky University up one position to 26th overall in the National
Student Steel Bridge Competition.
According to results posted Wednesday by Clemson University,
host of last weekend's contest, a recording error was made on
one school's scoresheet in the structural efficiency category.
That change shuffled the overall scores, moving WKU up from 27th.
Western's bridge finished eighth in aesthetics, 24th in weight,
24th in stiffness, 25th in construction economy, 25th in structural
efficiency and 29th in construction time.
