Shelton Resigns From WKU Development Position

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University announced today that Roland Shelton, director of development for University Athletics, has resigned to pursue a new career in the corporate sector.

According to Tom Hiles, vice president for Development and Alumni Relations, Shelton has served in this position since March 1999.

"Roland has done a tremendous job in increasing private support for our athletics program," Hiles said. "We are sorry to see him leave, but we wish him the best in his new career endeavors."

Hiles said the search for Shelton's replacement will begin immediately. Those interested in the position should contact Western's Department of Human Resources at (270) 745-2071.
