WKU, South Central Bank Honor 24 High School
Seniors
Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and South
Central Bank on Thursday honored 24 high school seniors from
Barren, Metcalfe and Monore counties for their academic achievements.
The students received certificates and scholarship offers during
the annual High School Honors Luncheon. All of the students qualify
for at least a full-tuition Regents Scholarship at WKU.
As a group, the students had an average grade-point average of
3.91 and an average ACT score of 27.22. The group included 14
Kentucky Governor's Scholars and three National Merit Semifinalists.
The students honored included:
From Barren County High School: Benjamin Bull, Sarah Jones,
Daphne Pace, Mindy Pennycff, Leah Kate Ragle, Anne Marie Ross
and Lacey Yule
From Caverna High School: Daniel Devore.
From Glasgow High School: Ashley Brauer, Brooke Caudel,
Blake Chambers, Zack Darnell, Jason Fryia, James Gillenwater,
Kyle Johnson, Colin Klein, Sarah Miller, Jodi Salyer and Shelley
Thurman.
From Metcalfe County High School: Jacqueline England.
From Monroe County High School: Shana Humes, Jennifer
Johnson, Andrea McFall and Rebecca Pedigo. The students from
Monroe County were unable to attend the luncheon.
