Several Events Scheduled
This Week At WKU

To assist in your news coverage plans for the week, here's a list of several events scheduled this week at Western Kentucky University:

1 p.m. Wednesday: The 2001 Wobbler Windup, room 203 of Science and Technology Hall. About 40 freshmen mechanical engineering students will demonstrate the Wobbler Steam Engines built as part of Mechanical Engineering 101 class.

3:30 p.m. Thursday: University Senate meeting, Garrett Conference Center ballroom. WKU President Gary Ransdell and state budget director James Ramsey will discuss the state budget outlook.

9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday: Board of Regents committee meetings, Wetherby Administration Building Regents Room.

4 p.m. Friday: Unveiling of Guthrie Tower bells, Diddle Arena. President Ransdell and Lowell Guthrie, president and CEO of Trace Die Cast, will participate in a ceremony to unveil four the bells for the Guthrie tower.

10 a.m. Saturday: Fall commencement, Diddle Arena. Western marks its 150th Commencement.
