Lexington Schools Take Top Honors
In State Drama Festival

Bowling Green, Ky. - Students from two Lexington high schools took top honors this week in the 2001 State Drama Festival at Western Kentucky University.

Tates Creek High School finished first overall followed by Paul L. Dunbar High School and Murray High School. Students from 13 schools competed in the festival sponsored by the Kentucky High School Speech League, Inc.

Adam Kingsley of Tates Creek High School and Kyle More of Paul L. Dunbar High School were selected as the two Best Performers at the Dec. 10-11 competition.

The following students were recognized as All-Star Cast Members: Josh Bayer and Josh Preston, Paul L. Dunbar High School; Aften Locken, Tates Creek High School; Jean Ellen Cowgill, Henry Clay High School; Ashley Gamble, Perry County Central High School; Steve Saunders and Marshall Welch, Murray High School; and Ashley Wheatley, Bardstown High School.
