Donald Woodman Opens 'At Home' Lectures At
WKU
Bowling Green, Ky. - Donald Woodman, photographer and
husband of artist Judy Chicago,
opens a series of lectures at Western Kentucky University on
Wednesday. The lectures are part of the "At Home: A Kentucky
Project with Judy Chicago and Donald Woodman."
Woodman will present "Click, Click, Snap, Snap: 30 Years
in the Dark" at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Ivan Wilson
Fine Arts Center. It is sponsored by the Women's Studies Program
Gail Martin Lecture Series, the Rodes-Helm Lecture Series and
the Campus Activities Board.
Woodman, a creative and commercial photographer for more than
25 years, teaches photography at the University of New Mexico,
Valencia Campus. He is joining Chicago who will direct the "At
Home" project to transform a house near campus into an art
installation highlighting the meaning of home in Kentucky. Woodman
will be directing participants in creating a photo-ethnography
of the "At Home" exhibit and in exploring the subject
photographically.
