"Tailgate With The Toppers" Set For Aug. 23 On WKU Campus

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University fans can help kick off the 2001 football season at "Tailgate with the Toppers" on Thursday, Aug. 23.

The Hilltopper Athletic Foundation and WKU's Warren County Alumni Chapter are sponsoring the picnic at 5:30 p.m. on Downing University Center's South Lawn. The event will feature Hilltopper players and coaches.

Admission is free; donations to the Football Enhancement Fund will be accepted.
WKU opens its inaugural season in the Gateway Football Conference on Aug. 30 at defending Gateway champion Western Illinois.
