Former White House Photographer To Visit
WKU April 19
Bowling Green, Ky. - Sharon Farmer, former director of the
White House Photography Office, will speak at Western Kentucky
University on April 19.
Farmer served as director of White House photography from 1999
to January 2001 and began her work as a photographer for the
Clinton administration in 1993. She will speak at 7 p.m. April
19 at Grise Hall auditorium.
Farmer has been a professional photojournalist and exhibition
photographer for more than 25 years. Her photos have appeared
in numerous books and exhibits.
She has taught and lectured at American University, the Smithsonian
Institution, Mount Vernon College, National Geographic Society,
Eddie Adams Workshop, Women in Photojournalism Conference and
National Association of Black Journalists.
Farmer's visit is sponsored by the WKU School of Journalism and
Broadcasting.
