'Engines Of Change' Theme For Global Automotive
Conference
Bowling Green, Ky. - "Engines of Change: Get Used to
Higher RPMs or Stall Out" will be the theme of the Global
Automotive Conference 2001.
The "Engines of Change" for GAC 2001 will be e-commerce
and its momentum in the automotive industry. Ford Motor Company
will co-sponsor the event, scheduled for April 25-27 at the University
Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Bowling Green.
Now in its second year, the Global Automotive Conference serves
as a venue where middle managers of assemblers, suppliers and
service providers interact with practitioners and discuss emerging
trends. GAC 2001 will focus on four areas:
· The effect e-commerce will have on the relationship
between OEM's (original equipment manufacturers) and suppliers;
· The avenues suppliers can use e-commerce to achieve
a competitive advantage;
· The role e-commerce will play in global market and workforce
development;
· Emerging "e-technologies."
GAC 2001 is administered by Western Kentucky University's Office
of Global Business and Entrepreneurship and San Diego State University's
Center for International Business and Education Research.
Registration fee is $295 before April 13. After that date, the
fee will be $395. For information or to register, visit the GAC
