WKU Senior Receives Family And Consumer Sciences Award

Bowling Green, Ky. - Rebecca Cobb, a Western Kentucky University senior from Madisonville, has been honored by the National Family and Consumer Sciences Honor Society.

Cobb, an interior design major, received the Orinne Johnson Prize last month during the National Conclave hosted by the Beta Delta and Beta Delta Alumni Chapters of Phi Upsilon Omicron honor society.

During the meeting, a national scholarship was endowed and announced in honor of Dr. Martha Jenkins, a WKU professor and former national president of Phi Upsilon Omicron.

The meeting was held Oct. 5-7 at the Bowling Green-Warren County Convention Center and Western Kentucky University.
