Nine Students Vie For WKU Homecoming
King
Bowling Green, Ky. -- Nine Western Kentucky University
students are competing for the honor of being named Coming Home
King.
The basketball homecoming king will be crowned at 6:30 p.m. Saturday
at Diddle Arena before WKU plays Florida International. Coming
Home King candidates also will participate in Big Red's Growl
at 8 p.m. Friday in Downing University Center's fourth floor.
Coming Home King candidates are:
Travis Anderkin, a Mount Vernon sophomore, sponsored
by Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.
Kevin Day, a junior from Evansville, Ind., sponsored by
Chi Omega sorority.
Dan Gilbert, a Louisville senior, sponsored by Kappa Delta
sorority.
Alan Gordon, a senior from Columbus, Ohio, sponsored by
Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Brandon Griffey, an Elkton junior, sponsored by Phi Mu
sorority.
Jeremy Mitchell, a junior from Hendersonville, Tenn.,
sponsored by Zacharias Hall government.
Joe Morel, a junior from Hendersonville, Tenn., sponsored
by Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
T.J. Ross, a Bowling Green senior, sponsored by Ceres
International Women.
Kyle Shrewsbury, a Beaver Dam senior, sponsored by Alpha
Omicron Pi sorority and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
