WKU Forensic Team First At Indiana
University
Bowling Green, Ky. -- The William E. Bivin Forensic
Society at Western Kentucky University placed first in the overall
sweepstakes competition at Indiana University.
Western finished with 216 points in the Jan. 27-29 event. Ohio
State University was second with 98 points.
Individual results are as follows:
Shadana Dickerson, an Adairville sophomore, placed first
in individual sweepstakes, first in prose, first in poetry, second
in programmed oral interpretation, second in dramatic interpretation
and fourth in duo.
Phillip Wininger, a Bowling Green sophomore, placed third
in persuasion, fifth in extemporaneous speaking and fifth in
informative.
Amy Jones, a Morehead junior, placed second in persuasion,
second in informative and seventh in after-dinner speaking.
John Allen, a Morehead sophomore, placed fourth in prose,
fifth in duo and fifth in programmed oral interpretation.
Stephen Barnett, a Versailles senior, placed fourth in
persuasion and third in dramatic interpretation.
Matt Gerbig, a senior from Evansville, Ind., placed second
in prose, fourth in duo, third in poetry, fourth in dramatic
interpretation, third in individual sweepstakes and seventh in
duo.
Keith Blaser, a freshman from Evansville, Ind., placed
first in novice prose, third in novice poetry, third in programmed
oral interpretation, fifth in dramatic interpretation and seventh
in duo.
Andrew Chamberlain, a freshman from Franklin, Tenn., placed
first in novice
after-dinner speaking, first in novice poetry, sixth in novice
prose and seventh in programmed oral interpretation.
Shellei Knuckles, a Florence junior, placed fifth in duo.
Eric Rogers, a Cave City freshman, placed sixth in novice
after-dinner speaking.
Alisa Ponananta, a Florence sophomore, placed fifth in
poetry and sixth in programmed oral interpretation.
Chandel Shanklin, a Bowling Green freshman, placed fourth
in programmed oral interpretation and sixth in dramatic interpretation.
Miranda Eubank, a Glasgow sophomore, placed sixth in rhetorical
criticism and seventh in persuasion.
Wesley Shirley, a Hodgenville senior, placed sixth in
informative speaking.
