Mr. Yuan used to be a lecturer of English at Nankai University in Tianjin, China, where he also taught foreign students Chinese at summer schools. He worked as a media specialist and taught Chinese at All Saint's Academy in Winter Haven, Florida between 1995 and 97 before coming to Western. During the summer of 2003-4, he taught at the Summer Camp for Academically Talented Middle School Students (SCATS) at Western. For other experiences and credentials, please visit his home page. He has contributed 26 entries to the Encyclopedia of Contemporary Chinese Culture to be published in December 2004 by Routledge and is working on Tales of the Han Chinese to be published by Libraries Unlimited in 2005.
