The Center Celebrates Anniversary

The Center’s celebration (click for pictures) began at the National Corvette Museum with a brunch attended by more than 300 people. Later in the afternoon there was a gathering of 500 friends of The Center on the South Lawn of the main WKU campus.
It was a lovely afternoon filled with music from Jon Crosby’s band, a hot air balloon supplied by the Hitron family, art, a delicious barbeque dinner and all sorts of games and fun on the grounds. After President Ransdell and Dr. Julia Roberts shared a few words of welcome, a group of alumnus, lead by Wake Norris, announced an alumni lead endowment for The Center. Everyone hopes that The Center for Gifted Studies leads gifted students, their parents and educators to many more years of educational opportunities.
