AUDITION: Harper and the Magical Book

Auditions for Harper and the Magical Book (2014 Children’s Tour Show)

When: Monday, August 25th, 6:00 - 10:00 PM in the Lab Theatre. Auditions will be first-come, first-served and will be in small groups.

Tuesday, August 26th, 6:00-10:00 PM in the Lab Theatre. Tuesday auditions will appointment only and will ONLY be held for callbacks or if there are people who cannot audition on Monday. If you have a legitimate conflict on Monday, talk to stage manager,  Sarah Hall, ASAP to reserve a Tuesday spot. In the event that callbacks are needed, a callback list will be posted in the GWH Greenroom on Tuesday morning.

Be on the lookout for a cast list posted by Wednesday morning!

What to Prepare: Not a thing! I’ll provide cold readings from the script. These will be posted up in the GWH greenroom before Monday for anyone who would like to read them over in advance. Come ready to read, play some simple improv and movement games, and have some fun!

Rehearsals and Performances: Please read on CAREFULLY here! Tour show is a BIG commitment and unique to any other show experience here at WKU. Our rehearsal and performance times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 12 pm. In order to be eligible to be cast, you MUST have this time block completely free- NO EXCEPTIONS! This is actually a class that you will be registered in once you are cast - you get class credit for doing this show! If you are serious about wanting a role but have a conflict, come talk to me and Carol Jordan right away so we can discuss your options. We’ll rehearse every Tues/Thurs at these times up until our first tour date on October 14th. From then on, it’s show time! We’ll travel to different area elementary schools and have a show almost every Tuesday and Thursday morning, and then we’ll wrangle the show back into the lab come December. Yup, that’s an entire semester's commitment! If you have any more questions about the schedule or the way this all works, don’t hesitate to talk to me (samya.monem918@topper.wku.edu, 502-315-9687) or Carol before auditions.
