Linda Heady (WKUHS Insurance & Billing Coordinator) and Keith Lancaster (WKUHS Systems Administrator) attended ACE.12 in Chicago, IL. ACE.12 was the annual Allscripts Client Experience where over 4,000 users of the popular electronic health records (EHR) system met with the product developers and vendors to learn ways to better leverage their products and talents to meet the increasing needs of the health care industry. EHR's are on the leading edge of emerging heath information technology (HIT) and the drive to reduce health care costs by increasing the availability of personal health information (PHI).

This year's keynote speakers were Glen Tullman, Allscripts CEO, and Dr. Daniel Kraft. Dr. Kraft is a physician, scientist and innovator with more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, biomedical research and healthcare innovation. He chairs the Medicine track for Singularity University, is Executive Director and curator for FutureMed, recently founded IntelliMedicine.
