WKU 2012 Spring Challenge

Challenge Highlights:

  • WalkingWorks is a fun, motivational program designed to help you increase physical activity.
  • The WKU 2012 Spring Challenge is for six weeks – March 19 through April 29. However, the online tool and resources are available year round.
  • Participants keep track of total number of minutes walked and enter this total regularly into the WalkingWorks online tool.
  • Participants join a team (Department) or go at it alone.
  • Except for regional campuses, your department name is your team name. Each regional campus will constitute a team.
  • Teams compete against each other based on average miles walked.
  • Individuals compete against each other based on total miles walked.
  • Prizes
    • Winning Team – Each team member will receive their choice of one of the following services at the Health & Fitness Lab in the Preston Center at no charge:
      • 30 minute Swedish massage
      • Kick Start Program
      • 1-on-1 personal training session (private if desired)
      • Fitness test
    • Top three Individuals – same as above.
