Institute for Rural Health and Development Celebrates 10 Years

This fall, the Institute for Rural Health Development and Research (IRHDR) celebrated 10 years of bringing dental services to rural areas of Kentucky.

The mission of the Mobile Health and Wellness Unit is to provide medical and dental services to residents living within WKU’s regional service area and to provide educational experiences for the students of Western Kentucky University.

In September, IRHDR was featured on "View from the Hill", a weekly segment highlighting the programs, people and happenings that make WKU a leading American university with international reach. To view this segment, please visit click here to be taken to the View from the Hill archive site (a transcript of the segment is also available at this address) or here to watch the segment on YouTube.
