Mammoth Cave National Park
Mammoth Cave National Park preserves a world class cave system, a portion of the Green River, and a diverse forest ecosystem. In 1981, the park was named a World Heritage Site. Then in 1990, it became the core area of an International Biosphere Reserve.
Western Kentucky University
WKUs undergraduate division provides four-year programs leading to bachelor degrees in 88 academic majors. A number of professional and pre-professional curricula provide additional options. WKU also offers numerous opportunities for graduate studies including a joint doctoral program with the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky.
