Dr. Hambruger has a wide range of professional interests which include mathematical research in the areas of Combinatorics, Combinatorial Geometry, Graph Theory, Set Theory and Topology; his enthusiastic and vibrant support and advancement of pedagogy and curriculum development in mathematics include contributions via numerous institutional and NSF grants among which are: Mathematics Throughout the Curriculum (NSF), Strategic Directions Charter Grant (IU), MAA Project NExT Program and To Improve Teaching of Calculus at Oakland University (Oakland University).
