                 The Materials Characterization Center has an extensive collection of state-of-the-art instrumentation available for use by staff, students and professors in support of their research, educational and service projects.

              The Center has extensive holding of sample preparation equipment, including drying ovens, crushers, cutting mills, pulverizers, riffles and splitters.  Also available are a shatter box, stirred-ball mills, micro mills, and a pneumatic mill for reducing solids to very small particle sizes, and preparing slurries.
