    Program Technology Requirements

The LME program is an online program and requires students to have a reliable means of working and communicating online with other students and program faculty. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate online resources to succeed in the program. The LME faculty suggest students have the following hardware and software for the program.

Hardware

  • Computer: IBM or PC Platform, Pentium or higher
  • Internet Access: dial up, preferably broadband connection
  • Peripherals: CD or DVD burner, portable USB drive

Software

  • Course CDs: ability to run Course CDs provided in some LME classes
  • Packages: MS Office Pro Suite  required for all classes, photo and video editing software for Educational Technology classes
  • EPS: ability to register online with the CEBS Electronic Portfolio System (EPS) at http://edtech.wku.edu/~eps
  • Webmail: ability to register and have access to the WKU email system at http://webmail.wku.edu
  • Topnet: ability to register and have access to the WKU registration system at http://topnet.wku.edu
  • Blackboard: ability to register and have access to the WKU online course site at http://ecourses.wku.edu
