  Connie Foster joined the faculty in the Department of Library Technical Services in 1978. She holds a master’s degree (MA) in English from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a master’s in library science (MLS) from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. She is a past president of the North American Serials Interest Group (www.nasig.org) and was appointed editor of Serials Review in 2002 (www.elsevier.com/locate/serrev).

The Department of Library Technical Services includes Acquisitions, Bibliographic Access, Serials, Systems, and Student Personnel. The Serials Unit operates as a self-contained, centralized unit with four staff who handle orders, payments, check-in, claims, cataloging, bindery preparation, and updates for all serials including 4,000 current subscriptions.
