Paper Piece a Pup
September 9, 2006, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

$10 for Friends and $15 for Non-Members.
Pre-registration is required.

Participants (boys and girls under 16 should be accompanied by an adult) will paper piece a Scotty dog quilt square for a pillow sham.

Participants will need to bring a sewing machine and spools of white and black thread. Fabric and pillow will be provided.

Quilt Show and Tell
September 30, 2006, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Display your favorite quilt at the
Kentucky Library and Museum!

Limit of two quilts per person.

Share a story about your favorite quilt or favorite quilter.

Technique demonstrations at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00.

The first 100 participants will receive a pattern draft for a block in a ca. 1820 Turkey Tracks quilt.

Quilts will be displayed on tables partially folded; no sleeves necessary.

Join nationally recognized fiber artist Juanita Yeager for a workshop on making round flowers. Learn how to use new techniques to create contemporary appliqué flower blocks.

Kentucky Archives Week is October 8-14.

(fee includes box lunch)

Additional $5 supply fee for wall quilt pattern and design paper payable to instructor on the day of the workshop.
