School Field Trips

Guided field trips with interactive components and art workshops are available daily for groups of ten or more. Reservations are required for all field trips and may be made by calling 270-745-6082 or 270-745-2594.  Tours include two to three of the following:

 Felts Log House  

Felts Log House

Includes history of the Log House and furnishings, a textile experience - quilting, weaving, or wool carding - and a Kentucky history discussion.

 A Star in Each Flag  

A Star in Each Flag: Conflict in Kentucky

Exhibit explores KY in the Civil War. Includes numerous interactive activities and a Civil War clothes closet.

This exhibit includes 11 sections featuring the life and work of the Bowling Green native. An extensive collection of artifacts will be on hand including the outstanding collection from the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors' Bureau. The exhibit features these artifacts along with state-of the art media tools so visitors will learn about Hines' career as a writer on travel, dining and entertaining, as well as his transition to a "name brand" icon and pioneer in the world of packaged food.

This gallery displays furniture relation in time and style with silver, glass, ceramics, paintings and anthropological items, which were used to decorate homes at different periods in history.
