Batik: An Introduction to Wax Resist Techniques on Silk

Learn how to use wax to protect areas of the silk fabric surface as you apply dye. In this workshop, we will design and complete the painting of one 11 x 60" crepe de chine silk scarf. Crepe de chine, with its fine "hand" (the way it drapes) is sometimes called the "Mercedes" of silks. All materials and one silk scarf are included in the course fee.
