B. Bibb of Frankfort, Kentucky, the developer of Bibb lettuce,
writes to his cousin Samuel Starling of Hopkinsville, Kentucky,
in a letter dated May 2, 1878, the following: "...my
lettuce has been unusually good, two or three families have
been geting some, at last one or two are begining to save
seed and help me in giving to others." |
