Broadsides
Broadsides were a common vehicle for print communication. They marked a special event or occasion, or presented products for sale. They were prepared for a short duration and extensively distributed thereby covering a large area in a short amount of time. The Kentucky's Library's Civil War Broadside collection contains many of these types of "ephemeral" items listing a variety of warnings, wares and calls for alerts.
