As repository to one of the premier
Folk Studies graduate programs in the United States, Folklife Archives
primarily consists of student and faculty research projects, including
tape recordings and photographs. Whether they are documenting a
town, the Civil Conservation Corps of Mammoth Cave, a bluegrass
music performance, or ethnic population, folk studies students detail
the rich diversity of Kentucky life and customs. In this unique
collection of oral histories and research, Kentuckians tell their
stories and sing their songs.
