Subseries 1 Donnie Love Autograph Book

Description: Autograph book created by Miss Donnie Love, her family and friends. The book is 9 x 6 inches and has been covered in a yellow cloth. The earliest autograph is dated 1875, the bulk of autographs were inscribed in April and May of 1890. There is a last autograph written in 1912. The majority of the writers are from Kentucky with Alabama, Tennessee and Texas being represented as well.

Biographical/Historical Note: Miss Donnie Love, a native of Horse Cave, Kentucky attended Southern Normal School about 1890. She received a teaching certificate and began teaching in Edmonson County by the age of 16.
