History - The four story building housed 222 men. There were 109 rooms. East Hall was a twin to the other dorm built right beside it, South Hall. However, East was the larger of the two. The building was considered among the most modern in the south at the time. In 1964, the dorm became a female dorm. In 2002, the name was changed to Northeast after renovations had been made to connect the once four dorms -- north, east, south and west.

Additions - 2002 - renovation - East Hall combined with North Hall to become Northeast Hall - rooms turned into suites connected by bathrooms; new sprinkler systems, air conditioning, upgraded alarm systems, new carpet, total cost was $14 million.
