Library Student Personnel



About Library Student Personnel

Located on the third floor of Cravens Library, room 302, Library Student Personnel employs 84 students. We consider our student employees an integral and valued part of the staffing pattern of University Libraries. Student positions in the libraries offer various opportunities and responsibilities including, but not limited to, clerical, mail processing, book repair, research, assisting patrons, security, stacks, and computer assistance.

Office hours are 8-4:30, Monday - Friday.

Applications

Student applications for employment in the main library and ERC may be filled out and submitted. For further information concerning employment in the library, access the Library Student Assistant Orientation for expectations, general rules and regulations. The orientation is best viewed in Internet Explorer. Students interested in employment in the Kentucky Museum and Library should access their web site.

Employment Requirements

Students employed in the libraries must be approved to work through the Financial Assistance Office and have a recent Free Application For Federal Student Aid on file. International students should visit the Office of International Programs for further information.
