Available both in EBSCOhost and from the National Agricultural Library, AGRICOLA (AGRICultural OnLine Access) provides citations to agricultural literature acquired by the National Agricultural Library and cooperating institutions; also includes subjects such as food and nutrition, agricultural economics, and parasitology. American Law Reports (ALR) contains articles (called annotations) on specific legal topics. The annotations provide background, analysis, and citations to relevant cases, statutes, law review articles, and other annotations. The articles attempt to include all significant citations up to the time the annotation was published. ALR annotations resemble a law review article rather than a legal encyclopedia. Part of the EBSCOhost group of databases, America: History and Life provides access to almost 400,000 bibliographic entries on the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Historical Abstracts indexes articles from over 2,000 journals published since 1970 on world history since 1450 (excluding the United States and Canada). American Jurisprudence Legal Encyclopedia provides background information on legal topics, explains relevant terms of art, and provides citations to cases, statutes, regulations, law review articles, and ALR Annotations. Biblical Archaeology Society Online Archive contains the editorial content of each issue of the Biblical Archaeology Review (1975 to 2003), Bible Review (1985 to 2003), and Archaeology Odyssey (1998 to 2003). This database is available on campus, and off-campus with WKU email and password login.

BiblioLine contains two databases: AIDSearch (MEDLINE AIDS/HIV Subset, AIDSTRIALS & AIDSDRUGS); and Child Abuse, Child Welfare & Adoption Database.

AIDSearch is a combination of three database files (MEDLINE AIDS/HIV Subset, AIDSTRIALS & AIDSDRUGS) providing information about Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and related topics from 1980 to the present. Updated monthly.
The Child Abuse, Child Welfare, & Adoption Database includes citations and abstracts of articles on the maltreatment, safety, permanency and well-being of children. Updated annually, the database contains citations and abstracts since 1965 of English-language books, journal articles, research reports, conference papers, unpublished papers, as well as descriptions of service programs and prevention and treatment strategies originating from U.S. research and service programs.

BIOSIS Previews, the comprehensive biological services resource combines the content from Biological Abstracts® and Biological Abstracts/RRM® (Reports, Reviews, and Meetings). Updated weekly, BIOSIS Previews provides current, in-depth, global coverage of the life sciences and biomedical sciences literature. Books In Print contains information about books currently in print and titles to be published in the next six months, as well as information on titles out-of-print or out-of-stock indefinitely since 1979. Cambridge Journals Online contains tables of contents and abstracts for for over 100 journals in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, with selected full text of journals the library subscribes to in print. CSA includes ERIC, GeoRef, Social Services Abstracts, and Sociological Abstracts.

GeoRef indexes over 3,000 journals, as well as a number of books, maps, theses, reports, and conference papers in mineralogy, soil science, geologic time, crystallography, limnology, and other geology topics. North American geology is indexed from 1785 to the present; the rest of the world is indexed from 1933.

Social Services Abstracts indexes articles in social work, human services, and related areas, including social welfare, social policy, and community development. The database abstracts and indexes over 1,406 serials publications and includes abstracts of journal articles and dissertations, and citations to book reviews.
Sociological Abstracts abstracts and indexes articles from over 1,809 serials publications, books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers in sociology and related social and behavioral sciences. Since 2001, many records also include cited references from the source article.
PILOTS, produced by the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, includes citations to all literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events, without disciplinary, linguistic, or geographical limitations, while offering both current and retrospective coverage. Document types covered include journals, books, book chapters, pamphlets, technical reports, and materials in all languages. Cambridge Journals Online allows users to conduct searches, view tables of contents, and view abstracts for for over 100 journals in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, and to view the full text of selected journals which the library subscribes to in print. CHID Online provides titles, abstracts, and availability information for health information and health education resources, many of which are not indexed elsewhere. Classification Web enables the user to browse and search the full text of the Library of Congress Classification (LCC) schedules and Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). Features a calculator that combines tables and schedule data, then displays fully calculated numbers together with their corresponding captions. ComAbstracts contains abstracts of primary professional articles in the field of communications, searchable by word, phrase, or author. The search system supports full Boolean search logic, proximity searching, wildcard searching, and word conflation (which finds alternative forms of words based on common linguistic roots). Combined Kentucky Adult Ed. Resources & LINCS contain materials on adult education. LINCS is a national database of resources collected by all adult educators and family literacy people all over the US, while the Kentucky Adult Ed. Resources database consists of materials from Kentucky. The resources in the two databases were selected by adult educators and include websites, curriculum guides, recommended reading, lesson plans and more. Complete Dictionary of Scientific Biography This e-book contains the entire 18-volume set of the the original Dictionary of Scientific Biography, along with the recently-published 8 volumes of the New Dictionary of Scientific Biography. The Country Studies Series presents a description and analysis of the historical setting and the social, economic, political, and national security systems and institutions of 102 countries throughout the world and examines the interrelationships of those systems and the ways they are shaped by cultural factors. Current Law Journal Content indexes 1,336 journals law and legal journals. Tables of contents are available via the website, e-mail, and RSS feed. ProQuest Dissertations and Theses indexes doctoral dissertations and master's theses from over 1,000 North American graduate schools and European universities from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to the present. Citations for dissertations published after 1980 also include 350- word abstracts written by the author, and for master's theses after 1988 include 150-word abstracts. The databases include: EBSCO Animals, Columbia Encyclopedia, Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, MAS Ultra - School Edition, TOPICsearch, Middle Search Plus, and Primary Search. EDGAR (available from Securities & Exchange Commission or LexisNexis Academic) includes submissions and forms which companies are required by law to file with the SEC. Includes the annual report on Form 10-K or 10-KSB, which contains much of the same information found in annual reports to shareholders. The site maintains publicly available filings submitted from January 1994 to the present. EDGAR filings are posted to this site 24 hours after the date of filing. Electronic Journal Service (EJS) allows users to search the tables of contents and abstracts of more than 8,000 journals and to access the full text of 497 journals which WKU Libraries subscribes to. This database is available on campus, and off-campus with WKU email and password login.

ERIC indexes and abstracts journals and documents in the field of education from 1966 to the present. ERIC also provides full-text access to approximately 80% of ERIC documents (items with an ED [document] number, NOT an EJ [journal] number) published since 1997; documents with an ED number published between 1966 and 1998 are available in microfiche in the Periodicals section on the 2nd floor of the Helm Building. Documents with an ED number include research reports, association publications, conference proceedings, teaching guides, instructional materials, professional development materials, bibliographies, etc. Although ERIC does not provide access to full-text journal articles, the version of ERIC that is found in EBSCOhost does link to some journal articles. Facts on File News Digest (FACTS.com) includes the complete full-text of the Facts On File News Digest since January 1960, updated every week. It also provides information from six other core reference databases. Half a million internal hyperlinks interconnects related stories. The Family Index Database indexes articles from over 2,100 journals in the fields of family studies, sociology, psychology, social work, education, child development, nursing, medicine, law, counseling, religion, history, and feminist studies. The Foundation Directory Online (Platinum) includes information and application guidelines for 6,000+ U. S. foundations and sponsoring company information for corporate givers. This service also includes a searchable file of approximately 150,000 grants of $10,000 or more awarded by the top 1,200 funders. The Trustees, Officers, and Donors search field and its corresponding index allow users to search among 300,000 trustee, officer and donor names. GeoScienceWorld is a collection of approximately 40 geoscience-related E-journals. GeoScienceWorld also integrates the GeoRef database. GeoRef indexes and abstracts Over 3,000 journals; U.S. Geological Survey publications; maps; books; and U.S. and Canadian dissertations and theses in geology and geosciences, North American geology since 1785 and world geology since 1933.

GPO Monthly Catalog indexes federal government documents from July 1976 to the present. The version from MarciveWeb DOCS shows which federal documents are owned by WKU. HighWire contains free full text for 362 journals in the life sciences, along with indexing and abstracting for all journals in MEDLINE. Articles that are not free are available for purchase with a credit card. HLAS Online is the Internet version of the Handbook of Latin American Studies, a bibliography on Latin America consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities. Each year, more than 130 academics from around the world choose over 5,000 works for inclusion in the Handbook. Continuously published since 1935, the Handbook offers Latin Americanists an essential guide to available resources. Updated monthly, HLAS Online provides rapid, comprehensive access to future, current, and retrospective volumes of the Handbook. This free database is available both on and off campus.

InfoTrac currently contains three databases. The Biography and Genealogy Master Index is a comprehensive index to more than 11 million biographical sketches in over 3000 volumes and editions of current and retrospective reference books, covering both contemporary and historical figures throughout the world. The Times Digital Archive contains the complete digital edition of The Times (London) from 1785 to 1985. The entire newspaper is available, with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos divided into categories to facilitate searching. Testing & Education Reference Center contains information on private high schools, undergraduate and graduate programs and executive education programs, searchable by location, major, tuition, sports and more. The database also features interactive online practice tests for preparatory examinations including entrance exams and certification and licensing tests. IngentaConnect indexes articles from over 26,000 magazines and journals. Searching and browsing are free. You may sign up for email Table of Contents (TOC) alerts from up to five journals and purchase individual articles with a credit card. International Abstracts of Human Resources contains abstracts of articles from 53 journals in the field of human resources management. You may search by author, keyword, subject category, or company name. This database is available on campus, and off-campus with WKU email and password login.

IIMP Full Text covers nearly all aspects of the world of music, both scholarly and popular. The database includes over 400 international music periodicals, 1874 to present, from over 20 countries. Includes complete-run full-text titles, from inception to the present (or final) issue, and many partial run titles. This database is available on campus via the campuswide information system, WKUNet, and off-campus via the KYVL Gateway.

ICPSR contains a vast archive of social science research data files for use with statistical software, such as SAS or SPSS. Please note that ICPSR does not provide publications, reports, or ready-made statistics, but rather the numeric raw data used to create publications, reports, and figures. For pre-processed statistics, select the "related literature" link for a given data set on the search results page or at the top of each study description. This will take you to a bibliography of publications based on that data, with links to online reports, when available. IOPscience contains over 250,000 articles, 1874 to current. The database is organized by using PACS and MSC codes in physics, astronomy and mathematics. This database is available on campus, and off-campus with WKU email and password login.

Iter contains approximately 250,000 articles and reviews from over 400 journal titles discussing the Medieval, Middle Ages, and Renaissance periods (A.D. 400 - A.D. 1700). Journalism & Mass Communications Abstracts, formerly Journalism Abstracts, includes abstracts of dissertations and theses accepted for graduate degrees. Prepared by student authors, the abstracts represent research theses. Database does not include abstracts of creative projects done to complete the graduate degree. JSTOR provides the full text/full image web access of the complete archival collections of over 150 core scholarly journals up to the most recent three to five years. This database is available on campus, and off-campus with WKU email and password login.

State Labor & Employment Law contains cases, statutes, and regulations pertaining to Kentucky law in the area of labor and employment. The database also contains explanatory materials on labor, employment law, and employment-at-will.
