The 100-Year-Old-Man (Sweden)

After living a long and colorful life, Swedish senior Allan Karlsson finds himself stuck in a nursing home. On his 100th birthday, he leaps out a window and begins an unexpected journey.  This black comedy covers both Karlsson’s adventures as an old man on the run as well as flashbacks over his long and action-packed life.

Film introduction and discussion led by Jerod Hollyfield.

WKU Libraries and the International Student Office have organized an International Film Series featuring a different country throughout the academic year.  All films will be shown on a Friday night each month at 6:00 pm. Free snacks will be available representing the country highlighted for that month. Upon conclusion of the film, a scholar will lead a discussion on points of interest relevant to each respective international film. This program is made possible by the International Student Office, WKU Libraries, Student Activities, and WellU. For more information about the series, contact Committee Chair Shaden Melky at 745-5139.
