Tom Kimmerer is a chief scientist at Venerable Trees, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of woodland pastures and ancient trees in Kentucky and has researched all over the United States and south East Asia. His new book, Venerable Trees, showcases beauty, age, size, etc. of the trees and remaining woodland pastures that predate Western settlement of Kentucky, document settlement history, biology of Kentucky trees, and also highlights the danger to and conservation efforts of Kentucky’s forests. Also comes with over one hundred photographs and illustrations.
