Instructions for Grading Students in Chapel, 1958
Instructions for grading students in Chapel Series for the semester beginning September 18, 1957, and ending January 30, 1958.
A. Mechanics of Grading-

B. Students who have two credits in Freshman Lecture and who made a C, D, or F in this course, will not be given a grade.
C. Students who have one credit in Freshman Lecture and an “X” in Freshman Lecture and who received “F” in this course shall be required to repeat the course in order to remove the “F”.
D. Students who have an “X” in both courses of Freshman Lecture, and who received an “F” in this course, shall repeat the course to remove the “F”.
A student, by consulting with the register of the college, may be permitted to remove the second “X” by completing special work assign by the registrar. This special work may be completed in the same semester in which the “F” is being removed.

SUBJECT: Chapel Assembly
The following requirements pertaining to Chapel Assembly have been adopted by the college and are to become effective with the opening of the fall semester. Item number one is a continuation of a requirement that has been in effect since 1959.
1. All new freshmen (non-transfers) shall continue to be required to take two (2) semesters of chapel Assembly. The semesters shall be taken consecutively.
2. All freshmen transfer students who earned less than twelve (12) hours of college credit shall be required to complete the two (2) semesters of Chapel Assembly
3. All transfer students of freshman classification with twelve (12) hours or more of earned credit shall be required to take one (1) semester of Chapel Assembly upon the first semester of enrollment.
All transfer students of sophomore classification shall be required to take one (1) semester of Chapel Assembly upon the first semester of enrollment.
Chapel Assembly requirement for a sophomore transfer who has completed a similar course at another institution may be waived by Admissions Counselor if the Counselor’s judgment the person is sufficiently mature, oriented, and of serious purpose to the extent that taking the course would not materially benefit the student.
4. All transfer students admitted with less than a “C” average regardless of classification shall be required to complete one (1) semester of Chapel Assembly upon the first semester of enrollment.
