Welcome to the Kentucky Space Grant Consortium
Based on its Vision for Space Exploration, NASA plans to return to the Moon and to press onward to Mars, as well as other goals for space exploration and scientific study of the universe.  The Kentucky Space Grant Consortium exists to enable all of Kentucky to participate in the NASA adventure in some way.  Come fly with us!
KSGC Objectives:
   -  Enhancement of researchers' capabilities in space-related fields
   -  Increased numbers of people training for the workforce in space-related fields
   -  Public participation and education in space-related science and technology
For the Public -- Opportunities for participation by the general public are announced as available through publicized schedules of planetarium presentations, telescope viewings, and other activities.

For Faculty and Students at Member Institutions-- Through our annual Request for Proposals, funding is provided competitively for proposed projects at member institutions in Kentucky, including:
Undergraduate Scholarships (mentored research)    Graduate Fellowships (mentored research)
Faculty Research Involving Students    Grants for Teacher Training Workshops

Please consider participating in the KSGC program according to your interests and needs.  We look forward to working with you in the program for the benefit of Kentucky, NASA, and the Nation.

Best wishes from the KSGC Director,
Karen Hackney
