The Kentucky Highschool Speech League

2007 JUNIOR STATE TOURANMENT

The Kentucky High School Speech League held its Junior State Speech Tournament on March 23-24 on the campus of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. The following schools placed in the top ten in the speech tournament:

State Champion : School for Creative and Performing Arts, Bluegrass (SCAPA)
2nd : Ockerman
3rd : Kentucky Country Day
4th : Roy G. Eversole
5th : Southern Pulaski
6th : John's Creek
7th : East Hardin
8th : Calloway County
9th : Highlands
10th : St. Paul School

The Horizon Awards are given to schools with smaller entries who demonstrate excellence at the State Tournament. The top five were:

2nd : Winburn
3rd : Harrison County
4th : Crittenden County
5th : LaRue County

The 2007 Sustained Excellence Trophy was presented to Harrison County Middle School.
