Here at the Kentucky FolkWeb, you will find information about cultural life in Kentucky as folklorists see it: festivals, exhibits, and other events; curriculum guides and materials for teaching about traditional life and culture (folklife); guidance for learning more about folklife; and information linking you to people and resources in or near your community.

The Kentucky FolkWeb is a cooperative effort between Programs in Folk Studies at Western Kentucky University and The Kentucky Folklife Program
at the Kentucky Historical Society.

this site

• The Folkweb site is divided into four main "zones" with resources, information, and news about upcoming events for each category. To begin, simply choose the zone that best applies to your interest.

• If you are a teacher or are interested in attending one or more folklife-related educational programs that are available, click on Education

• If you are a visitor to the great State of Kentucky and would like to know about its heritage and folk history or if you just want to find fun things to do, click Visitor
• community
• If you are member of our Community Scholars program or would like to know more about it; if you are a Kentucky resident; if you just want to view upcoming community events, the Community area is for you.
