KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF BLACKS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Welcome to Our Website!

KABHE serves as an excellent resource that can provide opportunities for members to articulate educational opportunities and issues for blacks in higher education as well as providing networking among individuals, institutions, groups, and organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

KABHE has been in existence for twenty-three years. The purpose of KABHE is to promote the advancement of Blacks in Higher Education in Kentucky by articulating needs and concerns, promoting unity, cooperation and awareness, and enhancing the personal and professional growth of its members.

KABHE also seeks to aid Kentucky colleges and universities in the recruitment, retention, and development of African American faculty and staff by sponsoring regional meetings and an annual conference where pertinent educational issues are discussed and solutions are drafted. The need for collegiality, collaborations, and mentorship are vital to the retention of Black faculty, staff, and students.

KABHE offers these opportunities. Explore our website and you will see the value of this network and the opportunities it provides for individuals and institutions. If you want to be a part of this dynamic association, join today by filling out a membership application. KABHE is here for you!
