*Graduate tuition and fees are assessed per credit hour based upon pursuant of 9 credit hours per every fall and spring semesters.

GRADUATE-MASTER’S TUITION SCHOLARSHIP:  Western Kentucky University offers a Tuition Scholarship to qualified international graduate/master’s students. The maximum annual value for the scholarship is approximately $9,000 per academic year and student MUST maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to continue to receive the scholarship. In order for an international graduate student to be awarded the scholarship, he/she MUST be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at WKU and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at ALL times. This scholarship is awarded by Graduate Studies and there is no application for this scholarship.

UNDERGRADUATE-BACHELOR’S NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (NIAS): The ACT/ SAT exam is not required for admission. However, if an international student wishes to be considered for the WKU National/International Academic Scholarship (NIAS), he/she MUST submit an ACT or SAT results. The maximum annual value for the scholarship is approximately 45% of the mandatory fees and tuition per academic year and student MUST maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to maintain the scholarship. In order for an international student to be awarded the scholarship, he/she MUST be a freshmen at WKU with a secondary school cumulative un-weighted GPA of 3.4 (85%) AND a 24 composite ACT score OR 1090 SAT total. However, transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale with at least 24 semester credit hours completed at another college or university.

As with any college or university, there will be additional unbilled costs: supplies, entertainment, clothing, transportation, visit a home for vacations, etc. The total amount for unbilled costs will vary depending on each student’s lifestyle.

SUMMER HOUSING:   Double occupancy rooms cost $100.00 USD per week; single occupancy rooms cost $150.00.

Additional mandatory fees may apply depending on student’s registrations; students can expect that the cost of attendance will rise by small percentage each year of enrollment.
