WKU Safe Communities America Report

On-Campus Housing

Undergraduate freshman and sophomores are required to live on campus in one of WKU's 15 residence halls. You MUST live on campus if you are 21 years of age or younger

Required Housing Policy & Exemptions.

WKU offers a wide variety of living options to meet the needs of our students. The objective of the residential hall programs is to create an environment that is compatible with the student's personal, social, and academic development. To apply for on-campus housing, please visit Housing.

Off-Campus Housing

Graduate students and students who are over 21 years old have the option to live off campus. There are several helpful websites and phone numbers when looking for off-campus housing:

College Suites
Campus Evolution Villages
Pointe at Western
Chestnut Street Apartments: 270-784-1187
Local (updated) listing of available apartments

IMPORTANT! Research carefully location(s) of where you are thinking of living. Look at reviews, get student's experiences and ask questions. Once you sign a lease (typically 1 year), you are legally obliged to pay, even if you move, so do not simply choose a convenient location but find a place with a good reputation! WKU and ISO do not endorse any particular off-campus housing provider listed here.
