Current International Students

We at the ISO  are here to help you access services and information that are important to you. We can assist you with Visa and Immigration issues, employment, obtaining a social security number and driver's license and information on U.S. Federal and Kentucky tax regulations. We can also help you make the most of your time at WKU by joining groups like the International Club and Friends of Internationals program.

Foreign students in the United States are required by immigration law to follow certain regulations in order to maintain legal status in the United States. WKU's International Student Office is responsible for advising international students on immigration law and regulations and for processing various immigration documents. When coming to ISO for immigration matters, always bring your passport, I-20 and WKU ID.

Always allow us at LEAST three working days to process documents.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING, UNDERSTANDING AND COMPLYING WITH THESE REGULATIONS.

IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING, PLEASE COME TO ISO.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has established certain rules and regulations which you are expected to understand and follow. The following is a list of important information for your new studies in the U.S. as well as regulations, procedures and forms that are frequently used in negotiation with the DHS. Most of these forms are known worldwide and may be obtained from ISO or from any DHS office.
